PSSA 2022 – Grand Final Wrap
Football
The Junior and Senior grand finals were both very close games, with eiter side having their opportunities at different stages to take the win.
Juniors: At the end of regulation time nothing could separate Quakers Hill and Blacktown South, and even after 10min of extra time neither team was able to gain an advantage.
Result: Blacktown South 0 drew Quakers Hill 0 (Joint Premiers 2022)
Seniors: Again, nothing separated Barnier and Blacktown South at the end of regulation time. Both sides played extremely well, and even a further 10min of extra time could not find a winner.
Result: Barnier 2 drew Blacktown South 2 (Joint Premiers 2022)
Whilst not the result everyone was hoping for, it was a very fair reflection of how close both of our grand finals really were. A big congratulations to all the players who took part in each game.
League Tag
Juniors: Firstly, thank you to all the teams and coaches who participated in league tag this year. The junior competition ran really well and the students had fun each and every game.
The grand final was an epic game! The first placed Quakers Hill against second place Hambledon. The game was close from start to finish. Hambledon got an early lead before Quakers Hill came back to level the scores. In the final 5 minutes Hambledon scored a great try and the score finished as 4 – 3 with Hambledon winning. Congratulations!

Seniors: Firstly, thank you to all the teams and coaches who participated in league tag this year. The senior competition ran really well, and the students had fun each and every game.
The grand final was between the first placed Walters Road and the third placed Hambledon. The first half began as a close game before Walters Road began scoring at will. The final score was 7 – 2 with Walters Road winning. Congratulations!

Netball
Thank you to all the teachers and students for a successful full season of PSSA Netball. After two years of disruptions, it was great to see everyone out there playing again!
Results for the Grand Finals:
Junior A: Hambledon 5 defeated Marayong South 4
Junior B: Hambledon 12 defeated Barnier 6
Senior A: Hambledon 20 defeated Barnier 12
Senior B : William Dean 19 defeated Blacktown South 6

Rugby League
Congratulations to Barnier PS for winning both the junior and senior rugby league competitions in 2022.
